“It’s all B.S. ALL of it.”
In a recent interview, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight writer David S. Goyer made a startling rejection of what has become generally accepted rumors concerning the financially inevitable third installment in the current Batman series (tentatively titled “The Caped Crusader.”)
NO on the following ideas:
-Christopher Nolan having already signed on to direct.
-Pre-production starting as early as 2009.
-The casting of Johnny Depp as the Riddler.
-The casting of Phillip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin. Read the rest of this entry »

After Kanye West unveiled the new video for his single “Love Lockdown” on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Tuesday (October 7), he admitted that the clip’s modern look was inspired by a chainsaw-wielding maniac.
“On this album, I kind of embody Patrick Bateman from ‘American Psycho,’” he joked on the show, adding, “You know at the end of the movie [that] he didn’t really kill anyone. [I just liked] the clean aesthetic and the way he was all about labels. I wanted to express all of that in the video.” Read the rest of this entry »

Deena has sent me a information of Christian on Biography Channel. If someone do have the video, please send it to CBF. Credits will be given.
He is one of the most talented, yet under appreciated actors in Hollywood. Christian Bale’s breakthrough performance in American Psycho would stun moviegoers and critics alike, but it would be his amazing transformations in The Machinist and Batman Begins that would solidify him as one of Tinseltown’s top talents. Entertainment Weekly recently called him “one of the most creative people in entertainment” and ranked him as one of the “Top 8 Most Powerful Cult Figures of the Past Decade.” His latest film has him starring alongside Russell Crowe in 3:10 to Yuma, and Bale is quickly on the way to becoming a household name.
Rated: TVPG V-S-D
Running Time: 60 Minutes
Genre: Documentary
Closed Captions: Yes

Despite rumors to the contrary, it looks like Christopher Nolan may now indeed be signed to direct a sequel to The Dark Knight. The newest edition of Production Weekly went out this morning, and they list Nolan as the official director of Batman 3, along with Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman in the cast.
They further confirm some of the rumors which were swirling around earlier this week, listing Batman 3 as slated to go into pre-production in February of 2009. On Wednesday IESB.net attempted to debunk the rumors of the film’s imminent pre-production when they were told by a WB exec that the film “is not in pre-production and is not getting ready to shoot”. That’s not necessarily wrong. It’s not in pre-production and it’s not getting ready to shoot… right now. It will however be in pre-production this coming February. Read the rest of this entry »

The “Prepping for BATMAN 3“ scuttlebutt continues.
I was told by someone who is, well, “in the know” that there just might be something to all these rumors. According to him, there’s been mention of something going down around February of 2009 in Chicago. He chalks it up as rumor, but noted that the similarity to yesterday’s report on BOF was interesting. And just like that previous report, this buzz is coming from various folks who had worked on BATMAN BEGINS, THE DARK KNIGHT, or both. Read the rest of this entry »

The wires (yes, I still think of them like that) were buzzing all weekend with MTV’s big scoop — that while Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott were out promoting Body of Lies, the network cornered them about the long-delayed Nottingham, Scott’s revisionist Robin Hood story. There have been a lot of names attached to the role of Robin Hood, ranging from Christian Bale to newcomer Sam Riley.
Forget all of that because now, from Scott himself, comes the announcement that Crowe will be playing both roles. Mum on the details, the director would only say it was “a good old clever adjustment of characters. One becomes the other. It changes.” I would take that to mean that the Sheriff of Nottingham becomes Robin Hood after having to steal from the poor one too many times … or they’re twins, which would be pretty lame, especially for Scott and Crowe. Warner Home Video have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of The Dark Knight on 9th December 2008 priced at $35.99 SRP. The follow-up to Batman Begins, The Dark Knight reunites director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, who reprises the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne in his continuing war on crime. With the help of Lt. Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves effective, but soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker, who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces Batman closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante. Heath Ledger stars as archvillain The Joker, and Aaron Eckhart plays Dent. Maggie Gyllenhaal joins the cast as Rachel Dawes. Controversial social satire “American Psycho” is headed for Broadway, eight years after the novel became a movie starring Christian Bale, the companies adapting the book to the stage said on Tuesday.
The 1991 book from author Bret Easton Ellis centers on young Wall Street investment banker Patrick Bateman, an obsessively materialistic yuppie who by night commits murders while losing himself in drugs and prostitution. Read the rest of this entry »

Batman Begins star Christian Bale was set to play U.S. president George W. Bush in Oliver Stone’s, W - but dropped out at the last minute.
The film is a satirical look at the outgoing U.S. leader’s career, and director Stone has revealed that he was ready to start shooting with Bale in the title role.
But the moviemaker was forced to change his plans after the British actor pulled out of the project - leaving him to find a new leading man in Josh Brolin.
Stone says, “We did some rigorous prosthetics tests and spent a lot of dough - thousands of dollars - and then Christian said, ‘I just don’t feel like I can do it’.
“I needed a star… and Josh Brolin was not a star. I met Josh and liked him. He was more rural Americana. But man, he was scared.”
